Collaboration of Lecturer and Students of Master of Social Welfare Holds Inspiring Class at SRMA 20 Sleman
SLEMAN – The Master of Social Welfare (MKS) Study Program once again demonstrated its commitment to making a real contribution to society through a Community Service (PKM) program. This strong synergy between a lecturer and students was realized through an educational program held at Sekolah Rakyat Menengah Atas (SRMA) 20 Sleman. The event, specifically designed to motivate the younger generation, took place with great enthusiasm, starting at 1:30 PM until finished. The PKM team from the MKS Study Program was led by a great academic collaboration, namely Dr. Aryan Torrido as the lecturer, along with two active students from the 3rd cohort, Dirga Wahyuri and Ulil Albab. The community service team introduced a program entitled "Inspiring Class," which aimed primarily to spark and foster an innovative mentality among the students of SRMA 20 Sleman. This mental preparation is considered crucial as a foundation for students to achieve future success, whether as business actors (entrepreneurs) or in other professional careers.
During the Inspiring Class, Dr. Aryan Torrido and Dirga Wahyuri delivered an impressive presentation as the main speakers. Interestingly, besides being an accomplished master's student, Dirga Wahyuri also has a professional background as a motivator. The collaboration of these two speakers successfully provided an in-depth explanation of the tips and precise strategies for cultivating an innovative mindset and mentality amidst increasingly dynamic modern challenges. To ensure the message was conveyed effectively and the atmosphere remained enjoyable, the PKM team did not solely rely on one-way lectures. The students were also invited to delve into the success stories of various inspiring figures who have proven that innovation is the key to success. Furthermore, the event was interspersed with an interactive motivational ice-breaking session, successfully maintaining the participants' focus, laughter, and enthusiasm until the end of the event.
Through this comprehensive community service activity, the Master of Social Welfare Study Program hopes to leave a positive footprint and a long-lasting impact on the students of SRMA 20 Sleman. It is hoped that the understanding of the importance of innovation and mental resilience imparted by Dr. Aryan, Dirga, and Ulil will not merely settle as theories, but can be concretely implemented by the students in pursuing their bright aspirations in the future.
