Learning Orientation for Master’s Students

The Faculty of Da’wah and Communication held a Learning Orientation for Master’s Students as an initial step to welcome the new academic year. This activity aimed to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the learning patterns at the master’s level, which are naturally different from undergraduate studies. Through this orientation, students were introduced to the academic system, teaching methods, and the learning outcomes expected throughout their study, so they could begin their academic journey with the right preparation.

During the session, lecturers and speakers shared important information about the program, including the curriculum, assessment methods, and academic requirements such as scientific publications and thesis writing. The event was also designed to be interactive, allowing students to ask questions and gain direct clarification. In this way, the orientation not only delivered essential information but also created a warm space for discussion and a clearer understanding of how master’s studies will be carried out.

Through this activity, the Faculty of Da’wah and Communication hopes that new students will be better prepared to face the dynamics of graduate-level learning, which emphasizes independence, critical analysis, and in-depth research. The orientation also serves as a moment to foster motivation and confidence in developing themselves academically. With this initial knowledge and preparation, students are expected to enjoy their learning process while producing meaningful works that contribute to both science and society.
