Ramadan Harmony: HIMAMAKESA Hosts Intimate Cross-Batch Iftar to Strengthen Synergy and Drive Academic Excellence
The Holy Month of Ramadan always serves as a special momentum for the Master of Social Welfare Study Program family. Embracing this blessed occasion, the Master of Social Welfare Student Association (HIMAMAKESA) successfully hosted a cross-batch Iftar (break-fasting) event, bringing together students from the classes of 2025 and 2026. Held in a warm and intimate setting at a fellow student's residence, the event went beyond a traditional gathering. It served as a strategic platform to align visions, exchange inspiration, and build a grounded, collaborative network among the future experts of social welfare.
The homey and familial atmosphere made the event highly effective in deepening emotional bonds and solidarity among students from diverse backgrounds. Following the shared Iftar meal, HIMAMAKESA utilized this valuable face-to-face encounter as an idea incubation space through a collaborative brainstorming session for the association's upcoming Work Programs (Proker). The active involvement and seamless blending of both cohorts generated a variety of innovative and progressive ideas. These initiatives are projected to create a tangible impact, not only in enhancing the students' professional capacity but also in driving meaningful community service endeavors.
This spirit of collaboration was further amplified during an academic discussion session, which stood as a crucial agenda of the evening. Sitting closely together in a relaxed yet constructive environment, the students analyzed academic dynamics, shared cross-batch study tips, and formulated strategic recommendations to be presented to the Study Program management. This two-way dialogue demonstrates the high level of dedication Master of Social Welfare students have toward elevating educational quality. It proves their readiness to act as critical and solution-oriented partners in fostering a superior, relevant, and adaptive higher education ecosystem.
Responding to the event's success and the participants' enthusiasm, HIMAMAKESA Chairperson, Revika Sari, expressed her deep appreciation and future aspirations. "This Iftar event, hosted at one of our colleague's homes, is a true manifestation of the emotional closeness and collaborative spirit of the Master of Social Welfare students. We are not merely weaving tight familial ties; we are using this moment as a stepping stone to design impactful work programs and offer constructive insights for the advancement of our beloved study program," Revika stated. Through such positive and grounded initiatives, the Master of Social Welfare Study Program continues to prove its strong appeal, successfully cultivating a solid, character-driven, and highly competitive community of learners.
