Enhancing Academic Quality, Master's Program in Social Welfare Holds Learning Monitoring and Accreditation Preparation Meeting
Yogyakarta – The Master's Program in Social Welfare (MKS) organized an important agenda to evaluate and enhance the quality of academic and institutional services. This learning monitoring meeting was held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 09:00 to 11:30 WIB. The meeting took place solemnly in the 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Faculty of Da'wah and Communication. The meeting was led directly by the Head of the MKS Study Program, Muh Ulil Abshor, Ph.D., alongside Dr. Aryan Torrido. The forum was also attended by expert faculty members, including Rof'ah, Ph.D., Dr. Zainudin, Siti Solechah, M.Si., and Latiful Khuluq, Ph.D. In addition to the leadership and lecturers, the smooth running of this coordination was supported by the presence of the faculty's academic staff, who assisted in the synchronization of educational data.
The main agenda of the meeting focused on monitoring the ongoing semester's learning process. In this session, lecturers shared their experiences regarding students' enthusiasm levels and the various effective learning methods or treatments applied in their respective classes. The head of the study program emphasized that every lecturer must ensure they fill out the daily teaching journal in accordance with the Semester Lesson Plan (RPS), which utilizes an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach. In addition to routine evaluations, the meeting also discussed thorough preparations for Participatory Action Research (PAR) activities involving collaboration between lecturers and students. This action research program is designed to provide tangible solutions to contemporary social issues. For this period, the chosen themes are the empowerment of the "Disability" group and the strengthening of the "Religious Approach in the Lives of the Elderly."
Furthermore, the meeting participants conducted an in-depth review of the Standard 2 entries in the study program's accreditation form. This step is part of the strategic preparation for submitting the program's accreditation to a higher level. The main focus of this session was to ensure that the learning process within the Master's Program in Social Welfare has met the established national standards.
Overall, this learning monitoring meeting resulted in various crucial agreements for the advancement of the study program. With strict oversight of the OBE-based curriculum implementation, the execution of inclusive collaborative research, and solid administrative readiness for the accreditation form, the Master's Program in Social Welfare is optimistic that it can continue to increase its academic competitiveness and achieve satisfactory accreditation results.
